Independent Sun Ultra 80 Support Expertise

Sun Ultra 80The SUN Ultra 80 is Sun's top of the range workstation with support for between one and four processors. A balanced architecture means you can deploy all the processing power, memory, I/O, and graphics you need, without performance limitations or bottlenecks.
The Sun Ultra 80 workstation brings multiprocessing power, industry-standard PCI I/O, and dual-UPA graphics capability to the desktop. This next-generation workstation uses the processing power of UltraSPARC -II processors, PGX32 and Sun Elite3D graphics technology, UltraSCSI disks, and the innovative high-performance peripheral component interconnect (PCI) I/O bus. With the tower system enclosure, Sun Ultra 80 workstation provides all the modular and expandable features that users have grown to expect from Sun Workstation systems. Sun's commitment to high-performance computing means the Ultra 80 workstation delivers increasing levels of performance and preserves 100 percent binary compatibility with application software.
Model 1450 is the entry Ultra 80 workstation using a single 450Mhz UltraSPARC-II processor. Model 2450 is the two-processor version of the Ultra 80 workstation. Model 4450 is the four-processor version of the Ultra 80 workstation and should be used in situations that require the highest computing performance. Models 1450 and 2450 are easily upgraded to their quad-processor counterparts by adding additional processors and all come with 4Mbytes of level two cache.
All three models also include your choice of the PGX32 graphics or the highly integrated Sun Elite3D m6 high performance UPA graphics card.
