Model 1000 belongs to the growing family of Solaris-based PRIMEPOWER servers with symmetrical multi-processing (SMP): Suitable for those customers who intend to expand their server power range to 16 or 32 processors.
The 1000 features SPARC64 processors together with cross-bar switching to ensure maximum scalability and system resource utilization. Thus it is perfect for enterprise-class tasks like server consolidation, e-commerce and business processing.
